Python Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented Python developer with strong data skills to join our team and contribute to the growth of our revolutionary and industry-leading Revenued Business Card product. The successful candidate will work closely with other developers, data analysts and underwriters to enhance our automated underwriting processes, leveraging real-time data and machine learning methods to deliver proprietary credit scoring of our customers on an ongoing basis. Working primarily with Python/Postgres, the role will require extensive use of APIs/Pandas/Numpy to both obtain and analyze data from a variety of sources including bank accounts, background checks and other publicly available information, and create and implement underwriting models in a production environment using streaming/messaging/REST/SOAP technologies. 

 

Working hours 14:30-22:30 from Monday to Friday

  Role responsibilities

• Collecting data from external sources (APIs/Salesforce/etc)
• Writing web services to process card applications, and to reprice these on an ongoing basis
• Building and integrating pricing models from both internal and external data and integrating them into the production workflow
• Updating our CRM (Salesforce) with results from the pricing process
• Enhancing and maintaining the messaging-based (AWS SQS) infrastructure to process applications.

Kualifikimet

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, Graduate degree in relevant field a plus
• Expertise working with one or more relational databases systems (e.g SQL Server/Postgres).
• Strong knowledge of Python   
• Data processing experience and analysis using Pandas/Numpy
• Experience working with consumption of external REST/SOAP APIs
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, preferably in Python

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Machine Learning (in particular Random Forests, Linear/Logistic models)
• Experience with AWS (in particular, SQS and S3)
• Knowledge of Git
• Writing APIs (preferably using Python/Flask)
• Experience with Salesforce
