Duties
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: Performs guard services at the Embassy to safeguard U.S. Government property and personnel. Under the direction of the Senior Armed Guard, Shift-Leader, Local Guard Supervision, Deputy LGF Supervisor the incumbent of this position performs guard services at the Embassy to safeguard U.S. Government property and personnel. Assists with access control coordination at the entrance to the Embassy Compound and is responsible for assisting the Marine Security Guard with the control of persons and items entering and leaving the building during normal working hours. Compiles and process mission access request forms and distributes them to appropriate Guard Posts, and may be tasked by the RSO or A/RSO to perform other security related functions deemed necessary.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year full time experience in the security service field is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of Embassy's organizational structure and operations. Must also have a basic knowledge of First Aid procedures, fire-fighting equipment, radio communications and explosive detection equipment. Must have working knowledge of gas mask function.
Education Requirements:
EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School is required.

LANGUAGE: Mandatory: Copy from Section 15(d) of PD. Level 3 (good working knowledge) in speaking, reading, and writing of English is required. List each language separately.
Post must not list the language level number (i.e. I, II, III, IV) but only list the term associated to the level (i.e. Basic, Good Working Knowledge).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional: Must be tactful and effective in interpersonal contact. Must be courteous and firm in performing entry duties. Must be physically fit. Must have computer skills, such as Microsoft office suite.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Tirana, Albania, may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
